Did you win this week?

Good morning!

We’re approaching the second to last Friday of the summer. You can interpret that as happy news or sad news. However, what we can both agree on is that Friday’s are a perfect opportunity for us to identify the big wins of this week!

Motivation is a finite resource. One cannot just create it from thin air. However, what can breed motivation is success. Identifying small wins/successes throughout the week will help build momentum to drive more action and motivation day after day. So my challenge for you, as you take this morning commute to work or to the beach, is take 5 minutes today to reply to this message about 3 wins that you are really proud of accomplishing. It doesn’t have to be fitness related, but if you do have a health related goal, it can be helpful to identify the small steps and wins that you have achieved over the past 7 days towards your goals.

Did you figure out what they were? Awesome! Next action for you to do is to identify the next steps for you. What does that mean? Here’s an example: If you were able to successfully get to the gym 3 days this week, could the next step be coming to a 4th workout? How about adding an additional vegetable to your meal? Get an extra hour of sleep? The possibilities are endless!

You can look to outside forces and people to inspire you to take action. Or you can look up to the best person; look into yourself and see all that you’ve accomplished.
