This weekend, my wife and I started a new puzzle. This is an activity that we love doing together. This got me thinking about how managing sciatica pain is very similar to solving a puzzle.
The biggest takeaway from this adventure is changing our perspective, or how we see things. Sometimes we miss opportunities for healing if we are looking at solving a problem in only one direction. But what if we took a step back, rotated the piece, and see if it fits into the picture? What is missing?
This is where we put on our detective hats and spot what is missing.
Doing a lot of core strength work but no relief? How about we look at flexibility? Or how do you move?
Doing a lot of stretching? What if we added in some strength?
