Stair walking is an underrated exercise
Why this matters:
It’s important to get moving when dealing with an injury. Staying in bed results in more stiffness and pain rather than recovery. Walking is something we do every day, but if you are looking for more of a challenge with an added benefit to your hips, stair climbing is a great option. You have no choice but to move at your hip, and the uphill descent is actually very low impact. You’ll get your blood flowing and your glute, hamstrings, and quad muscles will get stronger. More strength = more stability = Less pain.
Find a set of stairs. Set a timer for yourself and walk up and down those stairs. Listen to your body and take note on how you feel.
