This is Hudson River Fitness

After graduating with my Doctorate and starting my first physical therapy job in 2012, I realized that there was a huge gap between fitness and rehabilitation. The majority of my patients had no interest in improving their health or fitness and would come back to me, session after session, expecting to be fixed during that hour spent at the clinic (unfortunately with that system, I spent about 10-15 minutes with the client). So I decided to get involved with the fitness world and moved to Hoboken, NJ where I started as a group fitness coach and personal trainer. It was that same time that I decided to open up my own physical therapy practice that was focusing truly on bridging that gap.

My practice was 100% private pay and I didn’t take insurance. Choosing to step away from insurance allowed me the freedom to focus on what mattered most, the client sitting/standing in front of me. I’ve worked with thousands of clients and helped them get rid of their pain and return to the activities that they loved.
In 2017, I opened up Hudson River Fitness, located in uptown Hoboken, NJ. For three years, we served the Hoboken and surrounding communities to be fit and healthy by delivering physical therapy, personal training, nutrition coaching, and group classes.

On March 12, 2020, the Office of Emergency Management signed an executive order for shelter in place. We closed our doors for the safety of the public that day. Due to the rising concern of COVID 19, we already had plans to transition our programs to 100% online so that there was no lapse in service and care. Shortly thereafter, we decided to focus our energy on serving our clients through virtual sessions and coaching for the foreseeable future.

This is a moment for us to revisit and focus on what we do best and that is helping others. Our expertise in physical therapy, rehabilitation, injury prevention and fitness is limitless with our online platform. The vision for Hudson River Fitness is to share the experience of health and happiness with others so they can have a positive impact on the world. This has never changed, in fact, with this next chapter, it’s only become even clearer.
