Vitamin B2 Riboflavin

Onto the next part of our B vitamin series, we have Riboflavin, also known as Vitamin B2.

It plays an essential role in energy production by breaking down fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. It also plays an important role in red blood cell production, skin, and vision health.

A person who is deficient in Vitamin B2 will typically see inflammation on their skin, especially around the corners of their mouth, their lips. They may also experience hair loss or eye fatigue, which can result in red itchy eyes, The best way to prevent this is by consuming foods that are rich in Riboflavin which includes wild rice, salmon, mushrooms, almonds, eggs, and brussels sprouts.

So make it a goal to get your daily dose of Riboflavin in today and I’ll see you next week.
