Vitamin C – Ascorbic Acid

Vitamin C or Ascorbic acid decreases the progression of back pain by reducing inflammation and repairing tissues. It is essential for ligament, tendon, and bone creation and quality. Vitamin C is required for the biosynthesis of collagen and neurotransmitters which promotes clear skin, healthier hair, improves cognitive function, and helps with mood-related disorders like anxiety and depression. It can also help with the absorption of iron from plant-based sources which aren’t as bio-available.

If you’re deficient in Vitamin C, then you could suffer from inflammation, joint, neck, and lower back pain, and dry skin and hair. The best sources of Vitamin C are found in fruits and vegetables like berries, citrus fruits, broccoli, cabbage, red bell peppers, asparagus, and spinach, tomatoes.
