Tell your therapist/provider about everything you’re feeling.
Why this matters:
Pain management can be tricky. It’s our job, as providers, to help gather the necessary information to figure out a solution. No detail is too minute.
We also need to know if the stretches, exercises, or positions are helping. If they are, that’s great information for us to identify the next progression. If it isn’t working, it tells us to make changes so that you can feel better.
Most people don’t speak up. As a result, recovery can stall and time is wasted.
Action steps:
You have permission to share with your provider about how you’re feeling. They should be making the changes for you. You deserve pain relief.
